Types of artificial grass by use

Artificial grass is made for the Malaga climate: it copes with the sun and high temperatures without fading, needs no watering or mowing and stays green all year round. Not all artificial grass is the same; depending on the use, we install:

  • Decorative grass: natural look and soft feel, for gardens, terraces and penthouses.
  • Pool grass: drains quickly and is combined with outdoor decking around the pool edge.
  • Sports grass: for padel, football, tennis or golf, designed for durability and grip.
  • Play area grass: with a shock-absorbing base for children's play areas.
  • Heavy-duty grass: for hotels, residential communities, trade fairs and events.

Why so many people choose it on the Costa del Sol

  • Saves water: no watering needed, just an occasional rinse to cool it down in summer.
  • No mowing and no mud, and no insects to bother children or pets.
  • Dog-friendly, with slightly more frequent cleaning.
  • Always green on penthouse terraces where natural grass does not survive.

Artificial grass prices in Malaga: what they depend on

We do not work with fixed rates: we adjust the price to each project according to the square metres, the manufacturer and the chosen model. After a free visit and measurement, we give you a fixed, itemised quote. This is what has the most influence:

  • Base: on tiles or concrete it goes straight down; on soil we have to clear it, compact it and lay hardcore and a weed membrane.
  • Pile height and density: the denser the grass, the more natural it looks and the higher the price.
  • Area and shape: cuts around flower beds, trees and pool edges.
  • Silica sand infill, which keeps the fibres stable.
  • Access: carrying rolls up to a penthouse without a lift.

How we install artificial grass, step by step

  1. Visit and measuring. We look at the base, the drainage falls and the access, and show you samples.
  2. Preparing the base. On soil: we remove the topsoil, compact it and lay a weed membrane. On tiles: we clean the surface.
  3. Laying and joining. We roll out the grass in the same direction and join the rolls with seaming tape and adhesive so the joins do not show.
  4. Fixing and infill. We fix the edges and spread silica sand to stabilise the fibres.
  5. Final brushing. We brush the grass to lift the fibres and leave the area clean.

Timescales: the number of working days depends on the area and, above all, on the base: on tiles it goes straight down, while soil has to be prepared first. The timescale is set out in writing in the quote.

Artificial grass: frequently asked questions

How much does it cost to lay artificial grass in Malaga?

It depends mainly on the base: on tiles or concrete it goes straight down; on soil the ground has to be prepared. Pile density, area and cuts also play a part. We price each project individually and give you a fixed, no-obligation quote after the visit.

How do you clean artificial grass?

The best way to keep your artificial grass clean is to sweep or vacuum it to remove any dirt that has built up. Then hose it down so it is completely clean.

How long does artificial grass last?

There is no exact lifespan: it depends on how well it is looked after and how it is used, but our materials are top quality.

Can it be used with pets?

Artificial grass is perfect for pets. It needs more regular maintenance and cleaning, but unlike natural grass there are usually no insects or bacteria that could harm them.

What care does artificial grass need?

Brush it from time to time to lift fibres flattened by use; dampen it in spring and summer to cool it down; and avoid walking on it when it is very wet so as not to damage the fibres.

Can artificial grass be laid on concrete or tiles?

Yes, directly, as long as the surface has a fall for drainage. It is the quickest installation.
